TLV320AIC3120: Need help to generate the beep in a particular pattern using TLV320AIC3120

Part Number: TLV320AIC3120

Hello all,

Thanks for the support.

How to Generate the sequence of beep with particular raise time(tr), fall time(tf),Effective pulse duration(td) [ Refer the attached image]?

tr(approx. 15mS), tf(approx. 5mS), td(approx. 80mS) should be same for all the pulse.

Will soft-stepping algorithm change the tr&tf depending on the volume level?

  • Hi, Dinesh,

Unfortunately, our audio converters don't have enough capabilities to generate a pulse with the characteristics that you mentioned. These devices only support beep generator, which basically generates a sine-wave to produce a particular tone.

  • Hello Luis,

    Thanks for the support.

Can you share the waveform (captured before the speaker terminal) of the tone/beep generated using beep generator of TLV320AIC3120.

I required to generate the10 pulse( sequences like PULSE silence PULSE silence PULSE silence PULSE silence...... ). Each pulse should have tr,tf,td.

Can I generated this sequences tone from the prerecorded audio file using TLV320AIC3120?

  • Hi, Dinesh,

The generated beeps are sine-waves. The only parameter to configure is the beep length and the frequency.

You may play recorded audio files via I2S. You would need to configure the TLV320AIC3120 in playback mode in order to receive the audio files and play them at the analog outputs.

    Best regards,
