I am working on a new design with the ADS5402 and I have a question regarding the voltage tolerance of IOVDD. The datasheet has one line stating that IOVDD can be supplied from 1.7 - 3.45V. However, the rest of the datasheet always lists IOVDD as a 1.8V rail. The pinout diagram shows the IOVDD signals as a separate color which makes me think that they can be operated at a different voltage.
Can anyone confirm if I can run IOVDD at 2.5V so that I can drive the SPI bus with a 2.5V part while the DVDD* rails are at 1.8V? Otherwise I'll need an external level translator.
