Question about Output Enable of ADC1175

For some reason my parralel ADC ( adc1175 ) cant read continuously, every time i want to read a new value, i have to turn it off and on.

I left the output enable connected to ground. Im using this schematics except that Im connecting a POT directly to VIN and im grounding OE.

Any help?

Well, I fixed the problem, I did override the chip,. I soldered a new one and did the wiring but I am still wondering the purpose of the
OP Amp. and the 1% tolerance resistors? why not just a simple POT?

Hi Mike

Installing a POT at a resistor location to dial in the gain of the OPAMP would be fine, but the schematic just uses 1% resistors to accurately set the gain without needing to calibrate.
