Hello TI,

I have a customer interested in purchasing a DAC3484 EVM.  They have a Xilinx Virtex 6 board which sends their waveforms to the DAC via the 1G Ethernet.

Can they utilize their FPGA to send their data to the DAC or do they need a pattern generator custom circuit board (TSW3100)?

If they purchase such a board, can they send their own matlab generated data to the TSW3100.

    Hi Dan,

    The Xiinx FPGA can be used but they will have to develop firmware to interface to the DAC3484. For evaluation purposes, the TSW1400EVM together with the HSDCPRO software should be used for the DAC3484EVM. The TSW3100 has been obsoleted. It is possible to load customer's own data generated with matlab into HSDCPRO software which can then be sent to the DAC. There are more details in the HSDCPRO users guide
