I was wondering if there's a 3D cad model for the ADS5562EVM (ADS556X) board?

    Hi,

    in the past this has not been something that we would get from our toolset.  More recently though I had seen a 3d plot of a different EVM that was built out of rectangular blocks representing the size of the components on the board so I am asking if the same kind of plot could be generated for this old EVM.  I will attach that when I get it and you could see if that meets your needs.   Else, we would just have the assembly documents that are in the design database and the .dxf smart database.

    Hi,

    I heard back from our layout people.  We do not have a 3D model of this EVM.   In more recent EVMs we have been able to generate a 3D model of the EVM and components of the EVM in a kind of block-representation.   That is, a resistor or a capacitor might be represented by a block that encompasses its x-y dimensions plus its height.   But on this older EVM the database does not contain all the information to generate this model.  I suspect the all components in the older database only have their x-y dimensions so everything is 'flat' or 2 dimensional.
