Hi
Could you please share the final schematics of the ADS1293EVM. The schematics included in the User guide does not correlate to the EVM.

Hi Sai Ram,
Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. We'll check to see if there are any pending updates for the ADS1293 EVM schematic and get that posted as soon as possible.
I just received a new ADS1293 board from the E-Store and I also agree that we are missing the latest schematic and User Guide. Jumpers have changed, etc.
Please post new info as soon as possible.
Thanks
Dave Johnson
Hi Sai Ram,
Apologies for the delayed reply; our colleagues are at CES this week. Please find the final schematic attached.
Best regards,
Sergio
Hi Dave,
The team is working on updating the User's Guide. In the mean time, please look at the schematic attached in my previous post.
As far as the jumpers, if JP2 and JP3 are closed, the ADS1293 will power from the USB. If the jumpers are removed, the ADS1293 can be powered externally on JP1. In either case, there are 3.3V regulators on the board.

Sergio
Hi Sergio
Thanks for the latest schematics, i helped. I would also appreciate a BOM and the gerbers for he ADS1293EVM. Our team are at designing now and could have great use of both!
Regards BoN
Hi Bo,
I am attaching the BOM of the ADS1293EVM; I'll try to get a hold of the Gerbers. What kind of system are you designing and how has the evaluation board help you in that process?
Regards,
Sergio
Hi Bo,
I am attaching the gerbers for the ADS1293EVM.

Hi Tom,
i have purchased ADS1293 EVM recently, could you please share me the interfacing software for this board so that i can test the functionality of the board. and as well i wont to integrate this board to my ARM7 development board, can you help me how i have to go a head.
Thanks
ReddySekahr
Hi Reddy
To find the evaluation software, go to http://www.ti.com/product/ads1293 and scroll down to the Software section. You'll also find a sample code library for the ADS1293 and the MSP430; perhaps this can help as a reference.

Sergio
Hi Tom,
i don't want to read data from the UI software provided by TI. i want have design my own UI software in c# but i cant read data from the board, please can you tel me to get data from the board do we need to send any request command to the ADS1293 EVM board and the frame format of the data sent by the board how the data frame we will get from that board.
Thanks & Regards
Chandrasekhar
Hi Chandrasekhar,
I sent you a friend request. Can you please send me an e-mail?
Thanks,
Sergio
Hi Sergio
I have a project in which I will use ADS1293 and TM4C1233. Both devices use LDOs. TM4C1233 uses in the design I've seen TPS73633DRBT and the ADS1293 LP2XXXX-3.3NOP. When I read the two datasheets I see no reason why I can't save space by just let both devices get the their current from the very same LDO. If I am right, which one of the two LDOs should I choose?
Regards Bo
Hi Bo,
Regardless of the LDO you choose, one reason for having multiple regulators is to have split supplies for analog and digital at PCB level. If that is not a concern, then you could use a single LDO.
Doing a simple side-by-side comparison, the TPSXXX33 has a higher output current, lower supply current and slightly better accuracy. The LP2XXXX-3.3 has a lower cost.
It will depend on the maximum current and specs that you need, but either one of these would be fine for the ADS1293.
Regards,
Sergio
Hi Tom,
I have the same request, can you help me for the APIs to get data from ADS1293EVM board?
Thanks,
Sam Yuan
Hello Sam Yuan,
There is sample code for the MSP430 available in the Software section of the product folder: http://www.ti.com/product/ads1293. There is an application note in the same page on how to use the sample code. The sample code and application note cover getting data from the ADS1293 to the MSP430, but as far as I know, there is no sample code for getting data from the EVM itself.
Best regards,
Sergio
Hello Sergio,
long back we have discussed about interfacing of ADS1293 EVM with external controller through SPI port, i have interfaced and wrote program for the same i am getting junk data, can you please let me know the clock speed of the ADS1293 SPI port and as well let me know the data frame format, format of the data sent by the ADS1293EVM.
Hi Reddy,
I created a new thread to continue this discussion. Please find my comments here: http://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/precision_data_converters/f/73/p/394236/1392513#1392513
