ADS1x9xECG-FE data in Matlab

I have a ADS1x9xECG-FE Demonstration Kit. The included evaluation software caps a data acquisition session at 65500 samples.
1. Is there a way around this limitation?
2. If not, is there a way to get the data live streaming into Matlab? The evaluation software is built in Labview, and talks to the device on a COM port. There should be a way to replicate this in Matlab but I can't find documentation of the required commands.

Hi Geoff,

Unfortunately the answer to both of those questions with the released software and firmware is no. The purpose of the ADS1x9xECG-FE DK platform is to provide customers an easy way to evaluate our product and as such is not optimized for use in an end application. That being said, I can send you the source code for the LabVIEW software for you to play with (I believe the firmware source code is in the folder with the .exe for te EVM). I must warn you, however, that we will not support changes to either so if you decide to make changes, you will be "on your own" in a sense. We'd always be happy to answer questions specific to the ADC. Is that something you may be interested in?

I am using the ADS1x9xECG-FE and noticed that it caps at 65500 and I also thought about getting the data into Matlab for live streaming and processing. I am just wondering if you found a way around any of these two issues.

Hi, ia have the same problem. im trying to get the data into the matlab, but cant do that without your evaluation program, also, the seems to be a problem with the software in windows 10 pro. maybe there is a way to communicate with the device, just to set it to live stream on the start? i need that data into matlab, to start thinking about an algorithm, for the custom ECG device we are trying to build.
any help would be appriciated.
