PGA411Q1EVM: Device State: Reset N/A

Part Number: PGA411Q1EVM

As stated in the title, I'm getting a device state of "Reset N/A."  Not "Normal" or "Diagnostic."  I've tried resetting the EVM board and the GUI many times, but I keep getting the same device state.  Is there a fix for this?  Thanks!

  • Stephen,

Thank you for reaching out to us. On the opening page of the GUI under "EVM Status", can you list what it says? (or include a screenshot)

    USB Controller:
    Connection Status:
    USB Firmware:
    PGA41x-Q1 Device:

Also, before you open the GUI, make sure that the D12 LED on the EVM is solid and not flashing. If it is flashing, then press the MCU_RST button on the EVM until the LED stays solid; then open the GUI.

  • Clancy,

I won't have access to the EVM until later tonight or tomorrow, but I can tell you that a connection between the board and the GUI was established. The USB Firmware was a valid number (not blank or 0.0.0.0). I'm not sure about the rest of the list.

While a connection was established, the D12 LED on the EVM was solid.

Something odd that I noticed last night was that when I told the GUI to drive the NRST pin low, my meter read ~4.8 V at that pin. When high, it read ~5.2 V. I'm starting to come to the conclusion that something is broken.

    Thank you for your help,
    Stephen
  • Stephen,

Did you double check the default jumper settings (you can see this in the user's guide)? I have seen the board vendor mix up the jumpers before, so please double check.

    Thanks,

  • Clancy,

Yes, we actually had the board working for awhile. We left the board alone for about a week, and when we came back to it, it was doing this.

    Regards,
    Stephen
