mmb0 Evalboard, driver problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DXP, DAC80004

Hello ,

I tried to install the DXP (DAC Exerciser Program ) Software from here.

www.ti.com/.../dxp

I want to use the DAC80004 EVM on this board.

After downloading I installed the software, everything works fine and the device was found in the devicemanger.

The driver NI-Visa(winusb.sys) is used. No problems at all !

But when I opened the dxp software, the program is telling me "USB Connection Timeout".

1. I uninstalled dxp-software and also the driver, reinstalled everything and restarted windows again. Nothing changed.

2. I made the same procedure in a virtualbox using windows and also the "USB Connecting Timout" appeared.

3. I tried to connect with and without the DAC80004 EVM board. For the DAC80004 I used the DAC80004.xml. I could choose it in the DXP-Software

(I attached the device the virtuell machine correctly. because the driver was found also.)

4. I did the whole installation stuff with admin rights and the board was correctly power supplied with 6V.

5. I changed the usb cable!

It seems I'm having the wrong drive or the aplied driver is outdated !?

I use Windows 7 Professional 64Bit, SP1

Chris

The error message:

The driver I installed, as you can see the driver is correctly installed
