Hello, I'm using the SN74AVC8T245QPWRQ1 to translate 1.8V signals to 3.3V signals. I need a little help trying to determine the current consumption for the device. Looking on page 7 would I use Icca Vcca (1.2V to 3.6V) Vccb (1.2V to 3.6V) max current value of 15uA. I would also use Iccb Vcca (1.2V to 3.6V) Vccb (1.2V to 3.6V) max current value of 15uA.
Am I on the right track?
Hey!
So, to calculate total current consumption this is the formula you would use.
I_total = I_dynamic + I_static
The I_static for SN74AVC8T245 is found in the datasheet using this table:
I_static is 15uA for both IccA and IccB
Icca dynamic calculation formula:
I_dynamic = (Cpd+Cload) x Vcc x freq x #ofdatalines
You can find the CpdA and CpdB using this table in the datasheet.
IccA_dynamic = (CpdA + Cload) x Vcc x freq x # data lines
Now,
IccA(total) = IccA_dynamic + IccA_static
IccB(total) = IccB_dynamic + IccB_static
Thanks!
