CCS 5.1.0.08030 Linux installation failure

Hi,

I am getting the following error when trying to install CCS 5.1.0.08030 on Ubuntu 10.04.04.

"Installing executable
Error installing executable for feature org.eclipse.rse
Error exiting installation"

In the install.log, it says:

    Hello,

    can you please provide the contents of your installjammer registry directory?

    Did you turn off antivirus and make sure all dependancies are installed?  Can you provide more details?

    Hi,

    In addition to Lisa's post, I strongly advise you install one of the production releases of CCSv5, as several bugs were fixed since the pre-releases were made public.

    Thanks for the quick responses.

    I don't know what "installjammer registry directory" means.  Anyway I tried to install CCS5.1.09000 and CCS5.1.1.00033, and both installed without issues.  5.1.09000 seems to be able to open/build projects made in 5.1.0.08030, so I will use it.

    I would also recommend going to the latest released version which is 5.2

    Dear Sir,

    CCSv6 is working on Windows but it is failed to install on vmware ubuntu. this is the error when i install it. can you mail me what could be the problem

    I fixed this issue. Download the offline code from website. Now it is working .
