When System Analyzer loads the data, it shows a nice progress bar:
When using UIA in JTAG stop mode, this stage is preceded by the time when the JTAG reads data from the target. If the logger buffer is large, this can take significant time, however no progress or message of any kind is shown, CCS just hangs for that time. It would be really nice to add similar progress to the data reading stage too.
