So after replacing the controlCards what did you observe?  Is it the controlCard or docking station (emulator) that is having the issue?

Just check whether the regulator or FTDI chip is getting overheated or not. Also, check the voltage levels near these components using DSO and verify the same with the help of docking station schematics available in controlSuite.

FTDI chip is not heated.Also I checked 5V and +3.3V as per circuit diagram of docking kit.

You can check the JTAG connectivity from FTDI to controlCard socket/ JTAG socket on the docking station. Also, I hope you're not missing anything here.

I check the connectivity from FTDI chip to control card connector ,its ok.Also I check supply voltage for FTDI chip & DSP.it is also ok.

Try interchanging the data cables. Sometimes they've a problem too.

I try with interchanging the data cable,but no luck.I get same error.

Sorry Sagar, I guess you'll have to sit with both the docking stations and inspect their behavior step by step. It'll be time consuming but you'll be able to filter out the damaged component(s).

Hi Gautam,

     J8 jumper on docking kit of F28069 (USB EMU (R3)) was shorted. I removed the shorting  but still it is giving error.

What will happen if J8 is short.

Ahhh! Your FT2232D chip was in reset state. Hence, no connection!

Now, after the removal of Jumper you should be able to connect... if still not then I would doubt the health of FTDI chip.

How to check FTDI is working or not?Because voltages are ok across C4,C5 and also get 3.3Vat  6 pin no. (i.e. 3V3_Out)

for EEprom programming I done the following step.

Q: How do I reprogram the VID/PID EEPROM if it has not been programmed correctly?

• A If your VID/PID EEPROM has been programmed incorrectly, or not programmed at all, you can reprogram it with these simple steps

1. Download and Install MPROG from FDTI. You can get MPROG 3.5 from here
2. Download and extract the ept file from here
3. Connect your XDS100 to the PC via the USB Cable
4. Execute MProg.exe from within the directory structure where you installed MPROG. You should see a screen like the one pictured below.
5. Select File->Open, and select the XDS100_wUART.ept file you extracted
6. Select Device->Scan to verify that it will talk to your XDS100
7. Select Device->Erase to erase the existing programming
8. Select Device->Program to program the correct settings
9. Close MPROG

You should now be able to follow the directions Here to verify that it has been programmed correctly. If it has, you should now be able to use your XDS100 with CCS.

after program the XDS100_wUART.ept following message was shown.

Programmed Serial Number : TIXUPTXY 

& I check the VID/PID i.e.

USB\VID_0403&PID_A6D0&MI_01\6&14D85610&0&0001

is it correct?

One detail that isn't clear for me: are you trying to connect to both kits connected to the PC at the same time? If so, you would need to follow question 6.1.9 of the XDS100 page.

If you are having problems connecting to just one of the kits when individually plugged to the PC, the troubleshooting details presented by Gautam are ok and may be indicative of a faulty kit.

By the way, A6D0 is the correct VID for XDS100v1 (yours) and XDS100v2 (section 5.3.2 of the same page above).

I am a bit confused by your sentence above: which controlCARDs do you have? Are the regular ones or the ones with the isolated XDS100 embedded?

If the latter, keep in mind the isolated XDS100 does not provide power the DSP (as it is galvanically isolated). Therefore, you need to connect the controlCARD to the dock and apply power to the board.
