CCS littering home directory with .pf and .properties files

Whenever I start CCSv5.5 it creates two files in my home directory:

4C51CEC927B611D59242106097DF5F91.pf
4C51CEC927B611D59242106097DF5F91.properties

How can I stop this behavior? It is very irritating having these files littering my home directory.

The contents of the files:

  • They are getting generated by the licensing software used in CCS.  We have an open ticket with our vendor but so far we haven't had much luck pushing it.

  • BTW where exactly do you see the files being generated?  I had talked to the engineer who works on our license software for the above info, however when I look for the files in my Linux install I do not see them.

  • Ok we have been playing around with this some more.  The licensing software we use generates those files.  We have a ticket open with them to fix it.  The good news is that the feature within the licensing software that generates those files doesn't not appear to be used in CCSv6 and later.  i.e. in CCSv5.x you will see those files being generated but not CCSv6.x.  I hope that helps.
