CCS6 installation error with the message "can't read msg : no such variables"

Feels like this is an online CCS installer. Go for the offline CCS installer, there seems tobe some issue while downloading the components.

I tried the offline CCS installer, too. but i still have the same problem.

I had the same issue with a local install on ubuntu. I was trying to upgrade my 6.0.1 version.

Tried a clean installation (different folder) and it worked.

Ye~finally it worked in a different folder.

I had both CSS5.4 and CSS6.0.1 installed and I had the same problem. (I need to have CSS5.4 since our DSP C54x are not supported by the newer CCS, I have no idea why). I didn't want to re-install everything just to upgrade my CSS60.1 to CSS6.1.

De-installing the 6.0.1 made it possible for me to install the 6.1.0 while leaving my 5.4 as it is.

... (for some reason, my 6.01 didn't have any update site configured, and kept deleting any I would add in it, that whhy I wanted to install 6.1.0 "fresh")

i have the same problem, but it has be fixed. thanks, Paolo.
solution or check: 1. turn off virus scanning.
2. use a clean direction or floder.
3. install CCS with on-line (don't use off-line install)

I believe I was renaming the c:/TI folder each time I tried to install. When I realized this was a brand new release, I just installed the previous rev (v6) and am having no issues with rev 6.
