I have to work on TMS320c674x series for my new project and currently CCS v6.0.1 is installed on my machine.

I want to know that i need to purchase the CCS license to work on TMS320c674x series or it is freely available (if yes then at what cost). Also which version of CCS.

Looking at CCS 6.0.1 and CCS 7.2 installations under Windows shows support for TMS320c674x devices.

The http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Linux_Host_Support_CCSv6#Supported_2 and http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Linux_Host_Support_CCSv7#Supported Linux Host Support WIki pages for CCS 6 and 7 under Linux also reports the TMS320c674x devices are supported.

Hi!
I think the real question was what software components are required/supported. Luckily for you, your C6748 device is supported in SYSBIOS 6.4x, which comes with CCS v6/v7, and up to date compilers. Thus you may start you development right from there. Things become somewhat more complicated if you have to pull in some existing code based on older tools.
