LM3478/3488 Simulation Inconsistencies

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3488, LM3478

Design

Boost Converter

VinMin = 12.0V

VinMax = 17.0V

Vout = 32.0V

Iout = 6.0A

1)      When entering a Webench simulation from TI homepage with these values cannot get a simulation to work, i.e. output current is too high. However when simulating the LM3488 directly can get it to work cannot with the LM3488. Should be able to do this with the LM3478???

2)      Filtering Rsense. Some lower current simulations have the Csense directly across Rsense as indicated in datasheet , this value of capacitor across such a low Rsense doesn’t seem like it would be very effective. Other higher current simulations have one end of an Rs1 resistor (100-ohms) connected to highside of Rsense and the other end connected to Isense input with a capacitor to ground, this seems like a much more effective filter. Is there a problem in the Webench and/or the datasheet?
