Hello,

Please answer following questions.

Q1: TINA-TI Spice Model

1) DRV959 has 1 differential input and 1 differential output, but Model has 2 differential input and 2 differential output.

Please advice why Model has 2 Channels .

2) Model has “PLIMIT” terminal but device has no such terminal.

Please advice how to use “PLIMIT” terminal .

3) Model has “MUTE” terminal but device has no such terminal.

Please advice function of “MUTE” terminal

Q2: How input single ended signal

Please refer attached file and confirm my understanding of how to input single ended signal to DRV595 is correct.

Also please answer question in attached file.

Hi, Ushibuko-san,

The input common-mode range (VICM) is listed as 0.5 to 4.5V in the d/s. Please keep the inputs within this range when using single-ended inputs.

Apologies, but the DRV595 model will need to be revised.
It currently has pins that the actual device does not have.
Thank you for pointing that out.

A short-term solution to your problem is to use one set of input pins and one set of output pins of the existing model. For example, you could drive the INPR and INNR pins with your signal source, and use OUTPR and OUTNR as the output signal. Pins INPL and INNL would be shorted together and connected to half supply. Pins OUTPL and OUTNL would be connected through a large resistor.

The pin labelled MUTE should be connected to ground, and the PLIMIT pin should be connected to VCC.

This should give model behavior that is close to the DRV595. In the mean-time we will revise the model.
