TINA-TI DMM Problem

I'm trying to measure frequency using DMM but range button is disabled and freq displayed is always 1Khz.

I tried setting "Numeric Precision" as described in another post but still doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong?

I have been informed that the DMM does not display the frequency of a signal, but the frequency of a generator if there is one in the circuit. In this case, there is no generator. I have checked the function if there is a generator in the circuit and it does display the proper frequency.
