Hi Team,

I am trying to simulate the TPS40210-Q1 in a SEPIC topology, however, even when running a simple DC analysis, it comes back with "Operating Point not found"

I built this circuit by closely following this SEPIC design:

For the FET and diode, I created my own symbols using these macros:

MBRS540T3.REV0.TSM

NTD5C668NLT4G_REV0_LIB.TSM

Please let me know if there is anyway to get the circuit working.

Hi Jared,

We perform transient analysis on the models. To look for DC part, you can run the transient analysis for more time and check for DC part(use attached .TSC file).

Also we have made following changes in the schematic you have provided to make it work:

Soft-start cap C5 changed to 220nF.
RC cap C8 changed to 100pF.
Resistor R1 changed to 10ohm.
Mutual inductance of the coupled inductor changed to 10u.
Connections of feedback resistor and VOUT is made proper.

With the above mentioned changes, and also running transient analysis, model is working fine. PFA updated schematic(.TSC) and simulation results.
