I looked on the TI website and found spice models I need for simulation. However, they are encrypted. Does anyone have an encryption key or an un-encrypted LMG1020 spice model?

Hi Erik,

For the LMG1020 device , unfortunately an unencrypted SPICE model is not available for distribution. I apologize for any inconvenience.

I am now trying to run encrypted model for the LMG1090. It fails with the error message that the netlist has too few components. Can you advise me as to what I need to know to run an encrypted model? Are there any restrictions with operating platforms, access, or anything else.

Hi Erik,

I think you mean LMG1020 and not LMG1090. LMG1020 is working fine for me in TINA-TI. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of TINA-TI (9.3.150.328).

You are using TINA-TI for your simulation. Does the LMG1020 encrypted model work under Pspice, Spice, LTspice, or Altium platforms also?

The encrypted PSpice model will only work in PSpice 15.7 and above. It can not be used in another simulator since that simulator is not capable of decrypting the model. Did the issue you describe occur in PSpice?
