DLPC350: JTAG Flash Programmer cannot be launched

Hello TI Expert,

I have got a question about the JTAG Flash programmer for DLPC350 from our customer.

It seems that they cannot start the application on Windows 7 64-bit PC and are seeing the attached error.

I am sorry in Japanese but it is saying that "An application could not be started because the side-by-side structure of this application is not correct. Regarding the details, please refer to the event log of this application or use the command line tool, sxstrace.exe".

In my environment of Windows 7 64-bit, we do not see same error but our customer wants to know the reason why this error message is shown.

If you have seen the same error message, would you please tell us the reason and how to solve this issue?

Hi Nobu Arai,

Can you kindly request them to try using a different PC? This problem is caused by a conflict with some of the files in the 2008 version of the C run-time libraries. Microsoft offers a manual to fix this problem. Kindly request them to follow this and see if the problem persists.

I understand that this issue is related with visual C++ run time libraty. I am asking them to check the procedure to fix the conflict.
