DLP3010EVM-LC: DLP3010EVM-G2 pitch angle is not working

Part Number: DLP3010EVM-LC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP3010LC, DLPC3433

I am testing DLP3010EVM G2 using GUI DLP3010LC_2.1.0.7 and want to control pitch angle at the Advanced tab - Command- Keystone- Pitch Angle.

But it doesn't work.

I could confirm it responds well to changing the pattern(grid, color, sample images) and also Keystone Throw ratio.

But Pitch angle and Dmd Offset are not working.

Would you point me out any?

  • Hello,

We will investigate this issue. Meanwhile , could you please what value you are using?

What result do you get when you click on the "Get" button?

    regards,

    Vivek

  • I changed the pitch angle range from -12 to 12 deg but nothing is seen changed on the output. The value stays the same as I press "Get" button and it  shows a trapezoidal image.
I guessed it would move the horizontal center line of the image upward or downward.
Is there any way to control the direction of the lighting to up or down(pitch angle) ??
    Hope to hear helpful advice.

  • Hi,

The Pitch angle used for key stone correction.  When Projection axis is not perpendicular to the projected image shape is trapezoidal. The pitch angle is used to electronic correction the the image looks rectangular on the screen. Please refer to DLPC3433 programmer's guide for "Keystone & Projection Pitch".

Pitch angle feature  is not intended for image shift. The EVM does not support image shift function.
