DLP5500: Mounting problem

Hello Everybody,

Is possibloe to solder DLP5500 directly on a thnin PCB (0.8mm) as THT component; i have not found any information about the maximum temperature during soldering.

In case that the compnent isn't solderable where i can fin the socket, i searched on the main electronic suppliers and i have not found anything.

    Welcome to the TI E2E forum.

    Unfortunately the DMD's cannot be soldered as THT components, the heat from the process would ruin it.

    There are however socket options from fit-fox or intercom systems. For contact information and some mounting information please refer to page 7 of the "Mounting Hardware and Quick Reference Guide for DLP Advanced Light Control Digital Micromirror Devises document" here: www.ti.com/.../dlpa067.pdf

    You could also contact DLi www.dlinnovations.com/.../ to see if they have some sockets in stock.
