SD card booting issue

Hi all, I am using a MicroSD card to boot the lightcrafter but failed to do so.

Below is the procedure when I was flash the firmware into SD using ubuntu.

And below is the message prompted on Hyperterminal.

By the way, the SD card is a 2G standard MicroSD card.

Thanks in advance

Martin

  • Hi Martin,

Thanks for posting your question. I would like to ask a few more details about your issue:

    1. Are you flashing the TI provided firmware or is this something you have customized?
      1. If you are using something custom, can you try the default TI firmware again to ensure that works properly for you?
    2. Can you provide more information about what happens when you power on the LightCrafter EVM and it does not boot?
      1. Is the Hyperterminal screenshot you provided what is output on power up and then it hangs?

It also looks like you are using a different method to flash the firmware than the procedure in the LightCrafter EVM user guide. Please see section 2.13.2.2 Setting up the SD Card on Linux for more information.

    Thanks,

    Clinton

  • Thank you. I was using DVSDK and tried to flash the original firmware into sd card. The issue was solved already.
