DMD control error

we have a DLP Lightcrafter evaluation module. But in order to recieve test patterns or images, we just achieve a static coloured image with black dots. Now, do we have a problem with our dmd? How can we proove it? By starting the lightcrafter we do not obtain a boot screen, as well. The GUI shows a conncetion to the lightcrafter but we can only control the current of the LED's. But we are not able to shut them down. Do you know any solution for this? Could the FPGA be damaged? We flashed the newest firmware without any success to our problems.

Hi Benno,

Can you provide all of the firmware versions listed in the GUI once it is connected to the LightCrafter? Have you performed any modification to the LightCrafter?

Hi Clinton,

thanks for your response. We are using the following firmware:

-DM365 5.0
-FPGA 2.6.43
-MSP430 3.0

For our application we replaced the Blue LED with a UV-LED (400nm wavelength).

Those are the latest versions of the firmware. It's a good sign that you are still able to connect to the board.

Are you sure that the DMD is properly connected to the platform after you reassembled the LightCrafter? Are you driving your UV-LED with the LightCrafter LED driver circuitry? Could you provide the spec sheet for the LED you are using?
