DLP chip and software for teaching students

Does anyone know if there is a DLP chip that could be connected to a computer control interface to show students how the micro-mirror technology works?

Thanks,

Jeff Thomas

  • Hello Jeff,

DLP Chip has other electronics associated with it so it is not possible to connect  DLP Chip directly to computer to see it's working.

By design the DLP DMD Digital Micro Mirror device is controlled via another IC which is then exposed to external world with video interface link, from this video interface computers, mobile device etc, can be connected.

Also DLP Chip switching speed is so high it is not possible to see with naked eyes.

The easiest way would be show the videos put on the website http://www.dlp.com/ and https://www.youtube.com/user/DLPTechnology

Let us know if anything we can help you.

    Regards,

    Sanjeev

  • Jeff - Are you primarily interested in seeing the the effect of the DMD on a different input image from a PC (using a DVI/HDMI input) without all of the optics or something else?
