Dear All,

I would like to specify always DMD ON state in order to measure output LED illumination power.

Is DMD always ON state when test pattern of solid field specified regardless of the colors we specify?

Rossinag,

If you want to test the illumination power of your system, I recommend you set the display to a solid white field test pattern. This will maximize light output for your given system configuration.

For my understanding please let me ask you about the solid white field test pattern.

In that case which image source is used? RGB24bit picture(means 24 bit planes) or a 1bit binary bit plane?

Rossinag,

I recommend you use a 24-bit RGB solid white field for testing. I should note that the DLPC3435 has a solid white internal test pattern you can use for testing, as well.

OK, we will use the solid white internal test pattern for our testing. Is this a RGB 24bit(all on) picture?

In further my investigation, it looks that DLPC3435 cannot display 1bit binary pattern. In other words splash must be a RGB picture and cannnot specify 1 bit binary picture (it like ALC DMD controller). Is this correct understanding?

This EVM does not display 1-bit binary patterns, you are correct.
