Filters in Texas Instruments SmartRF Packet Sniffer Bluetooth Low Energy

Hi,

I have been trying to use the filter functions on the Texas Instruments SmartRF Packet Sniffer Bluetooth Low Energy. They are not working well and to further make it difficult the screens do not display properly on my Windows7x64 machine. I cannot read all of the text in the boxes.

My questions are lengthy, but first of all I cannot get the filter to work in reverse - that is the filter has an = function, but no != function.

I have a group of packets on the screen with two different addresses, but no matter what I put in for the address I always eliminate all of the packets. I have tried all of the address types AA1 - AA7, none seem to work.

Any ideas?

1. What Windows desktop team are you using?

2. Could you also please provide a screen capture?

Hi Jomar,

I am not sure what you mean by "desktop team". This is Windows7x64. I have had problems with other programs that work just fine on WindowsXP, but there is something changed in Windows7 that causes some programs to have problems with the text not displaying right-sized in boxes.

The attached screen shot shows the drop-down box in the lower left and several of the text entries are too large to fit into the box.

Under "options" I uploaded the attachment, but I don't know where it went.

Sorry, typo. I meant desktop "theme". Could you check if it works with Windows Classic and Windows XP.

I will have to look closer at the filtering issues.
