F28M35H52C1 Ethernet MII_PHYRSTn and MMI_PHYINTRn signals

The F28M35H52C1 manuals refer to signals MII_PHYRSTn and MMI_PHYINTRn on pins and the enet_uip sample code sets up the pins for these signals on PJ7 and PJ6 respectively.  However, in spra742g, they are referred to in Table 2-28 (page 77) but not in Table 6-23 (page 196).  Nor can I find any discussion in either spra742g or spruh22f of how these pins are used by the EMAC.  Are they to be treated as GPIO pins by the software (e.g. the EMAC does not use them but they are available to the users code)?  I need some clarification as to how these signals are used.

Thanks in advance!
