About USB dual mode on F28377D

Hi,

The USB controller on F28377D is a standard USB2.0 without OTG.  If I need the MCU can communicate with computers and phones, the MCU must be a device to communicate with computer, and for phone communication, MCU has to be a host, because not all the phone with USB-OTG.

On the file of  "F2837xD-USBL-UG.pdf ", it said USB can function in dual mode. That is what I need for my design. For my understanding, the circuits for USB host and device are different. Do I need two USB ports for dual mode, one port designed as Device connecting with computer, and one port designed as Host? Or the circuit inside F28377D have the ability to switch between Host and Device without setting up any external resisters?

I can not find any schematics or reference design about USB on F28377D.

Furthermore, the document said the USB library only support MSD and HID for host mode. Does that mean  it can not communicate with Smartphone in host mode?

Thanks for your help.
