Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335

Dear All,

I try to export bxl file with ultra librarian free reader to mentor pads 9.5 for schematics symbol and layout footprint of tms320f28335.

I have the attached files from ultra librarian.

The above .bxl file is a footprint file and while designing the schematics you can create the same IC and assign this footprint file to it. So during the layout you don't need to create the same.

I hope you've understood the steps. Let me know if you require more info on this.

  • Dear Gautam,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

What I understand from yours is that:

    - I should to prepare the schematic symbol myself. Do I say true?

    - the bxl file is a layout footprint. But I can't open the bxl file with pads 9.5. Also I try with ultra librarian to translate it for pads 9.5 but the files attached in my previous post don't recognized.

  • Dear All,

    The problem was solved.

The bxl file contains both schematic symbols and layout footprints which the ultra librarian free reader prepare them by converting for your favorite application such as mentor, altium, ....

You should to go the bellow procedure for mentor pads:

1- download the bxl file from your semiconductor vendor website.

2- load the bxl file in ultra librarian application.

3- select the eda software you want.

    4- click on export bottom.

5- go to mentor pads logic/layout file menu.

6- in library you should to import the part/logic/decal form the folder that ultra librarian exported files place there. the address messaged by the ultra librarian.

    Good look
