I recently started to experience problems with my ControlSUITE installation. ControlSUITE includes a exe file that allows one to easily browse ControlSUITE resources installed on my local computer. However, starting last week, I get a blank window when executing ControlSuite.exe. The only thing I and do is use the file menu to close this useless window. The ControlSUITE resources are not presented. I discovered that the only way to get a window that allows me to browse the resources of ControlSUITE is to do the following:
-- execute ControlSUITE.exe, the blank window is presented
-- right click on the ControlSUITE icon on the Windows 7 task bar.
-- right click on the eclipse.exe selection that appears
-- select "Run as administrator"
-- a new, operational, ControlSUITE window appears.
Note that running ControlSUITE.exe in the first step as administrator does not work.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem and if there is a way to restore the original behavior where an operational ControlSUITE window is presented when first executing ControlSUITE.exe.
Thanks,
John
