Storing Data to DSP and access later

I would like to ask how to store data (magnitude and time information) into DSP on which I can access later and transfer to PC. I was conducting a research on Piezo and I needed to store data ADC result or DAC result with time information and transfer it to PC spreadsheet data. If possible can someone provide information on how and step by step guide. Thanks

Hi Mark,

I guess you're in need of non-volatile storage. You can try emulating an EEPROM on a Flash Sector:

Some issue with the url at your end.... here its working fine. Anyways... simply search for "ti c2000 emulation of eeprom" on google. The first link on the search result is what I've been trying to share.

I would like to know if there is also a sample code for using the SARAM instead of EEPROM. because i need a high speed writing for the result of my ADC. Thanks.

Sorry Mark, I'm unaware of writing variables to SARAM as its done in EEPROM. But that would be temporary right! You can explore FRAM technology for faster writes and the data would be safe.

I have been told by my labmate that EEPROM writing is slow and might not be enough for the fast data from the PIEZO strain gauge displacement. I just want to store data momentarily and later send data to PC..

That is very true.

Why not store it in an array then? Retrieve whenever you feel like (System reset not recommended here)
