Can I assign 2 GPIO pins to same peripheral function?

I am using a F2837xD, but I expect this question applies to any C2000 core. Can I assign 2 different GPIO pins to same peripheral (output) function? Specifically I want to assign 2 different GPIO pins to the McBSPA frame-sync transmit signal (MFSXA) function, such that the McBSP function drives both IO pins simultaneously.

Hi Jim,

Yes, you should be able to assign 2 different GPIO pins (OUTPUT) to same peripheral function.

Hi Vivek,

I would like to know that if we configure same peripheral to two different GPIO's, both the gpio's will produce same output.

For example, if we configure PWMA peripheral to two different gpio's and if we start PWMA with 10Khz frequency, then both gpio output will be 10KHz, We cannot operate in different frequency / duty cycle.

Whether my understanding is right?
