CCS/LAUNCHXL-F28069M: Replace align and go startup method for lab12b

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I am running our motor using Lab12b with a quadrature encoder (AMT-103v) and everything is working fine.

But initially, the motor has to align to its zero angle. So the motor rotates for some time and stops. Then the motor stars running normally.

This is an unwanted phenomenon for our application and we want the motor to start directly with torque control with very less or no delay.

I was checking about IPD & HFI algorithm mentioned in lab21 but our motor is non-salient pole motor and according to this post if the motor does not have any saliency, the HFI technique will not be successful.

So is there any way out?

Please help.
