DRV8662: output voltage

This device can be supported the single-end and the differential input configuration. And at page 10 on the datasheet it is described at below.

[Normally, a 1.8 V, single-ended PWM signal will give 50 VPP at the lowest gain.]

So, if it is the differential input (1.8Vpp at each input (IN+/IN-), the output will be 100Vpp?

If my understanding is not correct, please correct me.

Hi Koji,

The output voltage will be based on the boost voltage setting. So if you set the resistive divider to produce 30V on the VBST pin, then the maximum output voltage will be +25V and -25V = 50Vpp. This 50Vpp value is achieved using the lowest gain setting, 28.8dB, and an input signal of 1.8V.
If you want to produce 100Vpp, then you need to set the boost voltage to 55V, and adjust the gain and input signal amplitude accordingly.

Hi Kelly-san,

Thank you for your prompt reply.
What I would like to ask is the deference between single-end and difference input.

In general, the amplitude of effective voltage of differential is a double of single-end.
So that , the output voltage of the differential is a double if the setting (gain and boost setting) is same. Is that correct?
