TPS65235: LNB Solution for Europe DVB-S2

Hi Experts,

Customer is looking for the LNB solutions for Europe DVB-S2 protocol, do we have the suitable LNB solutions for this? Not sure TPS65235 is a good device in here, kindly help to give us some suggestions.

Hi Jacky,

TPS65235 should be good. TPS65235 is DiSEqC 2.x and DiSEqC 1.x compatible. DiSEqC is a protocol to control the switch box and the antenna.
Seems the DVB-S2 is a data transfering protocol, they are in different area. I need to check this with others who know these protocol well. Will update with you when I got the conclusion.
Can you also check the information with your customer at the same time?

Thanks for the reply. Customer currently used is RT5047, but we didn't have the similar devices, so we want to check with you experienced guys.

I check the RT5047 part, it only supports DiSEqCTM1.x Protocol.

TPS65235-1 is a new generation part, it can support DiSEqCTM2.x Protocol, and DiSEqCTM1.x Protocol compatible.

So I think the TPS65235-1 must support Europe DVB-S2 protocol application.

Besides, TPS65235-1 has I2C interface and more features.

Recommend to promote TPS65235-1 to customer.
