LM5041: Maximum Duty Cycle for Buck Stage

Hi Sir,

As per datasheet we can go upto 1MHz oscillator frequency. what is the maximum operating duty cycle for the LM5041 buck stage (HD and LD pins) at max freq like 600kHz or 900kHz.

Hi Nesh,

Sorry for delay reply.

The maximum operating duty cycle mainly depends on minimal on-time and dead time Td.

From the datasheet, the typical minimal on-time is 250ns.

So the maximum duty cycle Dmax can be calculated by:

Dmax= (T-250ns-Td)/T

where T is switching period.
