I checked with our tools team, here is the feedback.

We have seen this kind of error when gauge is in ROM mode. This happens when SBS commands are read, then a formula applied which results in overflow because the ROM values are beyond reasonable value for that parameter.

Solution is to start bqEVSW without the target, then stop scanning, connect target and use Pro screen to get it into gauge mode.

This does not help solve the problem, because there is already no device connected to the PC.  As soon as I open the program, the error pops up without any device connected to the PC.

Here's more feedback from the tools team.

1. Was bqEVSW installed as admin?
2. Is it being run as admin?
3. Did customer install EV2400 support components? (As admin please)
4. Is  the EV2400 firmware current?

This is not a common error and customers have already used it successfully.

If all the above checks out then it may be wise to check if the software from the download link actually works.

The answers to your questions:

2. Yes.
3. Yes.
4. The program has worked before with v0018, but I currently have v0028 running on the EV2400.

Can you try downgrading to v18.

The updater is there as well.

The error occurs even when the EV2400 is not plugged in to the computer.

Downgraded to v0018, same error.

Nothing that I know of changed with my OS.  Windows has updated previously and no issues have arisen.

Can you please remove the "this resolved my issue" on the previous post? I clicked the button by accident.
