Hi.

I have a question.

What happen when the Li-ion battery is fully charged and the system load is connected to the output? The Li-ion battery will be automatically disconnected from the input or the battery will continue to supply the current  to the system load together with the input?

Thanks in advance.

  • When the battery is fully charged, the buck converter stops switching and any load at SYS is provided by the battery at BAT. When the voltage at BAT drops to 4.2V-VRCH, the buck converter starts switching again and provides the system load with any remaining output current (per the input current limit set by the ILIM resistor) is used to recharge the battery.
  • Hi Jeff, thanks for your reply.

When the battery is fully charged, can I configure internally, so that the current to the load at SYS is supplied by the switching instead of the battery at BAT?

    Thanks.
