Hi guys

I go through the datasheet of bq2023 but I didn't understand about bq2023 ... whats functionality of bq2023 ...? how it measure the current ?

The data sheet tells all.

The second sentence on the first page tells you "the bq2023 contains all the necessary functions to form the basis for an accurate battery gas gauge".

In Figure 7, R1 (connected to SRP and SRN pins) is the sense resistor that measures the current out of, and in to, the batteries.

Note that this part is Not Recommended for New Designs!

Current flows through sense resistor, generates a voltage across it (V = I*R), and the bq2023 measures the voltage.

Try searching for "current sense resistor".
