Hello TI,

We are using Bq24295 IC for our battery charging circuit, we could not find specific linux drivers for it,

Query1: Please guide us if any Linux drivers is available for this IC.

Query2: Will this IC take care of Enabling the Charging and Disabling the Charging on its own once the threshold is set?? or should it be done by software driver ???

Hello Pushpa,

Please look at the following github repository for bq2429x linux driver.

Regarding your question, the charger will stop terminate charging once the charge voltage is above the recharge threshold and when the charging current is below the termination threshold.

HI TI,

whether BQ24295 IC have the feature to get the status of how much percentage of battery available if Its have this feature please guide us on the calculations.

Hello Pushpa,

The bq24295 doesn't have the capability to calculate state of charge of the battery. If this feature is needed on your application,we have fuel gauge solutions for single-cell Li-ion applications, see for example the bq27542-g1 or bq27520.
