BQ2000T: IC remains in Charge qualification state

Hi,

I have assembled the circuit as given in datasheet.

I need to charge 4NiMh batteries, accordingly I have changed the values of RB1 and RB2.

RB1 = 600KOhm And RB2 = 200KOhm

Instead of thermistor I have connected 10KOhm resistor.

The IC remains in Charge qualification or suspended state. LED flashes continuously at 1Hz rate.

Voltage at BAT= 0.7361 continuously.

It does not enter Fast charge state.

Please suggest what changes are required.
