BQ24171: BQ24171 N-fet and P-fet

battery charging 12.6V to 13.5V

SON3x3 I think would work and give me some headroom:

N-FET:

Am I on the right track?

Hi Khoi,

You only need to follow the equations on the datasheet.

ISET: ICHG= VISET/(20 x RSR)
ACSET: IDPM = VACSET/(20 x RAC)

RSR and RAC can be any value, default is 0.01ohm, but you can also use 0.02ohm or 0.04ohm if you want better accuracy at the expense of efficiency.
VISET and VACSET are selected based on the resistor divider on these pins, using VREF as reference voltage.

When you say better accuracy, is that in term of I_charge and I_terminate?

I'm not too concern with I-charge accuracy but the system load Rac I like it as low as possible.
