Cell balancing at rest

We recently found a firmware bug in the cell balancing function for the bq40z60 and cell balancing will not work properly. We recommend setting the [CB] bit to zero in the Balancing Configuration register to disable cell balancing at this time.

We already bought both the evaluation board and the EV2300 to try this chip. The cell balancingi function is important for our system. How long do you think it will take to fix this bug by releasing a new version of firmware ?

No, that is not part of the firmware.

Since it does not yet know when this problem is solved, I think of replacing BQ40Z60 with BQ40Z50? Has it got the same problem? Does the internal cell balancing work?

There is news on firmware upgrade for bq40z60?

For a project that we are developing we rely heavily on BQ40Z60. We purchased to test its potential development board and interface.
