BQ28Z610: What is the maximum battery capacity supported?

The BQ28Z610 technical reference, section 6.1, claims that the maximum battery capacity s 32Ah. The TI selection guides state that the maximum capacity is 14Ah. Which is correct?

Hi Mark,

The TRM is correct with Max design capacity the register supports is 32767mAh, how actual design max current is limited by 0.1V/Rsense. The min Rsense is 1mOhm.

Hi Mark,

There is also a technique called current scaling that you can do to support capacities > 32767mAh for currents not exceeding 0.1V/Rsense.
