BQ40Z50-R1: Cell Temperature reading

Where is the 'Cell Temperature' reading coming from? I am getting a value of -273.2°C which (I presume) is inhibiting me from being able to turn my FETs on. Toggling 'CTEMP' does not do anything.

Hi Damian,

I have toggled what seems to be all variations of the bits in Temp Enable, Temp Mode, and DA configuration (CTEMP, FTEMP) and I still cannot get a normal reading. I am confused where the 'Cell Temperature' reading is coming from. I understand TS1-4 are separate readings and the thermistor between PTCEN and PTC is for the FET Temp, but where is Cell Temp coming from?

HI

After you toggled through the variations, did you send the reset command to ensure RAM gets updated as well. Pls redo that exercise.

If the issues persists, can you reprogram the device with the default firmware gotten from the link below and see if that helps?
