UCD9246: How to set "not" function of FLT input

Guru 19575 points

Customer hope to set non-function FLT input for GUI register only setting.

I think that two below idea is match, is it correct?

①Configure→Iout,Vin,Temp Config→Fault Response

 ⇒Continue Without Interruption

②Configure→GPIO Config → FLT-1A→ Configure

Especially, I can't be sure about ②, please let me check about this.

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • If FLT is not used, Method 2 will work: change the pin setting to GPI pin or Unused pin.

Method 1 will not work, because Fault Input and OTP are different fault types.

    Thank you for reply,

Please let me check about three points below.

①When GUI changed GPI setting, below attached comment is displayed.

Is there condition for GPI setting? or interface error?

②If FLT was exceed fault flag, device is shutdown.

Is there way to retry operation? or, shutdown only?

③I think that "ignore fault" is not same the FLT spec, is it correct?

    Best regards,

    Satoshi

  • Satoshi-san,

    (1) Can you try clear the device's configuration first, then import project file? The clear configuration button is under GUI-> Tools drop-down list.

    (2) FLT will cause shutdown only. No retry. You will need to power cycle the device, or send OPERATION command, or toggle CONTROL pin to turn the rail on, depending on the setting in the On/Off Config field.

    (3) No. The device cannot ignore FLT fault. But you can configure FLT pin to a GPI input pin. Then the signal on that pin is not treated as FLT.

    Thank you for reply.

About your answer (1), I didn't find "clear configuration".

    Please see attached below.

Is "clear configuration" indicate only Online mode?

    Best regards,

    Satoshi

  • Satoshi-san,

The Clear Configuration option is only displayed in online mode.
