fusion digital power designer download / installation file name

The Fusion Digital Power Designer the file name is TI-Fusion-Digital-Power-Designer-7.0.18[1]. This cannot be opened will not run and install unless the file is saved, and renamed to add a EXE extension. Is this as intended? I don't see any documentation about having to rename the file before installation.

I just tried and have no problem downloading and running it. The downloaded file has a .exe extension. Could you please try again?

I just tried it again. It still has no .exe extension. It still shows as TI-Fusion-Digital-Power-Designer-7.0.18[1]. This is also how my customer gets the file when he tries to download it.

Asked my colleague, it is a known issue. It depends on internet browser + internet setting + firewall + others facts that we might not aware of. TI's IT department already knew the issue. Work around right now is adding extension “.exe” after downloading. Or you may change a browser and try again.
